TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

1-USE OF THE VEHICLE

The hirer undertakes not to allow the vehicle to be driven other than by him/herself

  • Participate in sporting competitions;
  • Use the vehicle for illegal purposes;
  • Transporting goods.

2-STATUS OF THE CAR

The Vehicle is delivered to the Customer in a perfect state of cleanliness and operation. It must be returned in the same condition. Any damage caused to the vehicle is the sole responsibility of the client, who must promptly cover the corresponding costs.

3-FUEL AND OIL

Fuel is the customer’s responsibility. The hirer undertakes to check the oil levels in the engine and the water in the radiator and battery as necessary. Damage resulting from failure to comply with these regulations is the customer’s responsibility.

4-MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR

The customer undertakes to ensure the good condition of the vehicle.

The Company is responsible for all repairs to faults caused by the normal mechanical wear and tear of the vehicle.

Repairs to faults caused by abnormal use of the vehicle, negligence on the part of the customer or other accidental causes, are the customer’s responsibility, It should be noted that repairs to our vehicles can only be carried out by our services.

In addition to paying for breakdowns for which you are responsible, the customer will pay a daily fee for each day or fraction of the vehicle’s immobility.

5-INSURANCE AND ACCIDENTS

The hire rate includes compulsory insurance in force in Cape Verde. For optional motor insurance, the customer will pay a daily rate and the following risks will be covered:

Own damage caused to the insured vehicle in the event of a collision, rollover, fire, theft or robbery of the vehicle, including accessories and spare parts.

Damages whose value is less than the amount will be the responsibility of the hirer whatever the nature of the claim or theft for claims where the value of the repair or replacement is less than the amount of (300€) the customer will pay the amount corresponding to the amount whatever the nature of the claim.

The Company’ liability should never be invoked in the event of accidents resulting from construction defects or previous repairs.

The costs of towing vehicles in the event of an accident are borne by the customer.

6-HIRE, DEPOSIT AND EXTENSION

The hire price and security deposit must be paid in advance.

If the customer extends the hire, with the Company’s agreement they must pay the additional amount 48 hours before the expiry of the first hire period.

The rental day is counted from the time of delivery, and the entire flat rate. A fraction of more than 6 hours counts as full c day.

Hours up to the limit of 6 hours are settled at the base rate.

In the event of accidents or damage to the vehicle, the deposit will only be refunded to the customer once the situation has been checked and responsibility has been established.

7-RETURN OF THE CAR

The customer undertakes to deliver the vehicle at the place of hire and during normal business hours.

You must not abandon the vehicle under penalty of being held responsible for any damage or expenses arising from this act.

The vehicle may be received or delivered at the airport with the prior agreement of the Company and payment of a supplementary fee.

8-VEHICLE DOCUMENTS

When the vehicles are returned, the documents must also be handed in.

If this is not the case, the customer will continue to pay the hire charge until the documents are handed over.

The event of extraction, the customer will pay a fee for obtaining new documents.

9-RESPONSIBILITIES

The customer is responsible for all fines, misdemeanors and other matters brought against them.

It is forbidden to rent to anyone under the age of 25, to anyone who has had their driving license for less than FIVE years or anyone whose driving experience is doubtful.

 

Note: The official terms & conditions will be attached to the rental contract that you will get in our office. It should not deviate from this one, but in case of deviation, that would be the one used in case of any disputes or doubts.
